If a recently spotted listing on Playstation Network Store is to be believed, players may be able to get access to Destiny Alpha as soon as early June.
According to the store page, ‘Destiny First Look Alpha’ is just a small amount of content which the players will be able to experience in the final game. The alpha is set to launch on 3rd June.
Destiny’s developer, Bungie has made no comment on this so far but they have confirmed that a beta for Destiny would be coming to all consoles sometimes in July, starting with PS4 and PS3.
Exact date regarding the beta can be expected in the upcoming E3 2014 where Bungie will be holding their press conference.
Given the fact that the beta could be launching in July, it is highly likely that the company would make the alpha available to a few select individuals, which puts more credibility to this PSN store listing.
The release date of the alpha does fall on a day that the PSN regularly updates, but launching prior and so close to this year’s E3 suggests to us that it may be a more limited event.
Destiny is an MMO shooter being developed by Bungie for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The game is expected to be released on September 9th 2014.
