Every new World of Warcraft expansion brings it with it a number of interface changes and tweaks. The reason behind those is simple, make the UI more intuitive and helpful for players, and limit the use of addons which even though are helpful but can cause issues.
The Quest Log UI in the upcoming Warlords of Draenor is seeing a massive overhaul. The quest log now lists main story quests and side quests separately. This way, lore interested players will know which quests should be their main focus before leaving a certain zone.
The Dungeon Journal previously only listed information about raid and dungeon bosses, their various abilities and the loot they drop.
The revamped UI in WoD will have separate tabs for player roles as well, containing tips for Tanks, DPS’ers and Healers for each boss encounter.
Addons can now be managed by players without having to log out to the character creation screen. This functionality in itself requires certain addons to be installed, but they will be official ones created by Blizzard themselves.
Warlords of Draenor is an upcoming title by Blizzard Entertainment and serves as the 5th expansion to the highly popular World of Warcraft. The game is set to be released around December 2014.
