Seems like someone at Ubisoft made a big mistake recently which they might end up regretting soon. A pre order page for the upcoming Far Cry 4 went up on Uplay Store; the page was quickly taken down but not before it ended up in the Google cache.
The information from the page sheds some light on the story of the game and character names.
“Hidden in the majestic Himalayas lies Kyrat, a country steeped in tradition and violence. You are Ajay Ghale. Traveling to Kyrat to fulfill your mother’s dying wish, you find yourself caught up in a civil war to overthrow the oppressive regime of dictator Pagan Min.
Explore and navigate this vast open world, where danger and unpredictability lurk around every corner. Here, every decision counts, and every second is a story. Welcome to Kyrat.”
Judging by the game cover released earlier, it was evident the game would be set in a mountainous region. Now we have a name to go along with the picture of sinister looking antagonist in the image.
So the game is set in an area ravaged by civil war? Nothing new there, it seems Ubisoft forgot Far Cry 2.
The cached version of the store page can be seen here. More information about the game will be revealed during E3 2014.
Far Cry 4 is set to be released on November 18, 2014.
