E3 is less than a month away and the list of games that will be shown at E3, keeps on increasing and now, Square Enix has joined the list of developers that will be at the event, teasing that Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 will be shown at this year’s biggest event.
At the Comic Con event in Thailand, producer at Square Enix, Shinji Hashmimoto said:
We would like to keep it secret. I’m pretty sure you will be surprised. Actually not only do we have June, but there will be many events from now on such as San Diego Comic-Con, Tokyo Game Show, and others.
With the kind of impact that both of the games made on the last year’s E3, there is no question whatsoever that SE will return to Los Angeles this year as well to give a glimpse of their upcoming titles.
Moreover, Square Enix mentioned the recent selling of their stocks by Sony:
We didn’t think this would become big news. Back in 2001, Square Enix had financial problems and Sony bought our stocks. Now, the situation is reversed. Since then, we have had good support from our customers for our products, so Suquare Enix is back on its legs. But Sony has declined.
The presidents of both companies had negotiation and resulted as everyone knew. We did not have argument. Since Sony once helped us, it was time we helped Sony back.
As for now, we will have to wait and see what Square Enix has in store for us at E3 regarding the future of Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3.
