Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms has announced that none other than Tom Baker will lend their voice to one of the roleplaying game’s (RPG) main characters. Baker will portray Kenze, renegade High Sage of Penta Nera.
Sci-fi fans know Tom Baker as one of the most iconic figures to have played Doctor Who. As the fourth reincarnation, Baker played Doctor Who for most of the seventies and is still the longest running actor to have taken the role, with seven seasons back to back.
Baker also is one of the most recognizable actors in the Doctor Who series. With curly hair and an extremely long and colorful scarf, the fourth Doctor is the go-to character for the older generation of viewers.
This isn’t a random encounter of names either, as Baker was already part of the previous entry in the series, Kult: Heretic Kingdoms. That game released in 2004.
Therefore, Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms is sort of a revival of a little cult hit. It will involve a unique party system that revolves around a Devourer demon.
Together with three other party members, players can switch between Devourer and others to make use of different abilities and so on. This is also used in the game’s action combat element.
Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms will keep a traditionally isometric perspective, quite like Diablo and such. It is currently headed for release somewhere this year on PC.
