The good folks over at Charlie Intel took it upon themselves to find the hidden secrets regarding Call of Duty Advanced Warfare.
While sifting through the source code for the website of the upcoming title in the franchise, they discovered the Wii U logo embedded among other platform logos.
There has been no official announcement by Activision or Nintendo regarding a Wii U version of the game. Just because the logo is present there does not necessarily mean a Wii U version is in the works, it could be simply that the developers once had plans for it but it was later cancelled.
This isn’t really a surprising news, upon the reveal of Call of Duty: Ghosts there was no mention of a Wii U version but Nintendo later announced that the game would be released on their home console as well. There are even some views that given the poor sales of Call of Duty: Ghosts on Wii U, release of the upcoming Call of Duty title on the console is highly unlikely.
Maybe Nintendo and Activision are still working on some kind of a deal before they will make the official announcement, perhaps on E3 2014. For now however, the fans of franchise and Wii U can just speculate on what the future of the Call of Duty series is on the console.
