Epic’s Unreal Tournament franchise brings back some awesome explosive memories, but it has been almost seven years since the last installment in the series made its way to the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
However, it looks like the seven years drought is now coming to an end as the Vice President of Epic Games, Mark Rein will discuss the future of the series next Thursday.
He made this announcement while talking to the fans on his official Twitter account:

In a related tweet from another Pillar of Epic Games, Paul Meegan said that the Twitch stream next week will include Unreal Engine 4’s developer commentary, which is clearly a hint at the next-gen version of the game.

All you have to do is wait up till Thursday and tune into official Twitch account for Unreal Engine at 2 PM ET, to witness the return of the famous franchise.
It will not be just another Unreal Engine Demo as Mark Rein confirmed when asked by a fan, that Unreal Tournament is indeed “coming back”.
We just hope that it is a brand new AAA title developed for the next-gen and not just a mobile or tablet game.
