Following a rooftop screenshot released earlier today, Ubisoft has released yet another shot; this one showing a female protagonist alongside a male one.
In the scene, the two figures are shown moving through a hazardous area while breathing through a mask to filter the polluted air. In the background there is a mound of corpses, with the added details of a catastrophe-struck area.
Like before, this latest shot is also a testament to how impressive the studio’s in-house Snowdrop Engine is. We have been promised over the top visuals and animation cycles that will put other titles to shame. So far we’re believing all of that.
Ubisoft still has not announced a release date for the online third-person shooter. The Division was supposed to release in fall of this year but was then said to have been pushed into Q1 2015.
On that note Ubisoft has stated that the team will still be trying hard to see to a late 2014 release. However, there’s still plenty to work with and it’s more likely that we’ll be seeing the game next year.
Earlier this month Ubisoft Massive revealed that Ubisoft Red Storm is working on the weapons for The Division. Red Storm is known for its work with the Tom Clancy series in bringing accurate weapon designs and physics in-game. Expect them to do the same with The Division.
The Division is in development for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
