Blizzard might have been keeping their options limited when it came to expansion packs for Diablo 3. The recently released Reaper of Souls pack is the first and so far only announced DLC to the game; and was reported to have sold 2.7 million copies during the first week alone.
Those impressive sales might have pushed Blizzard forward in deciding on another expansion. As a result a consumer survey has been added to the game’s loading screen which asks you questions related to your interest in a second DLC.
Rumors of a second pack have been floating about and the survey just adds fuel to the fire. The survey also ties in with a statement passed by the game’s lead producer Alex Mayberry, who earlier this week stated that they don’t want to release any content unless the community demands it.
At the moment the team is working on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Diablo 3. Unlike the PC, the next-gen version will come bundled with Reaper of Souls.
A point worth noting is that the main villain from Reaper of Souls was mentioned a couple of times in the final mission of Diablo 3. It would be interesting to see who else amongst the characters mentioned in the game show up in the second expansion pack and what new multiplayer features will be added alongside.
