The Xbox One version of Minecraft was announced at E3 last year and is scheduled to release some time later this year. There had been a lot of discussions between the developers of Minecraft and Microsoft Studios to enable this feature and finally it is included.
According the recent reports from the Microsoft, Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition has been sold more than 12 million copies worldwide.
Earlier, Mojang confirmed that they are going to do the same thing with the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of the game. Players with saves on PS3 will be able to continue their game on the next-gen platform.
This is great news for anyone who was looking to make the transition from the last-gen to the next-gen. Players put a lot of effort in to creating unique structures in Minecraft games and they certainly wouldn’t want to play the whole game from the scratch.
