Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes was launched last month with an exclusive mission for both the Sony and Microsoft platforms.
Deja Vu was available on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4; while Jamais Vu was available on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. According to the series creator Hideo Kojima, it’s time to end this exclusivity.
Announcing via the Kojima Productions podcast, the developer confirmed that Dejavu would be heading to the Xbox platforms while Jamais Vu would be heading to the PlayStation ones. The announcement was for Japan only but we figure it will follow to the western side soon enough.
In Deja Vu players control a recreation of Solid Snake’s model from Metal Gear Solid. Players can then explore a version of Camp Omega that looks similar to Shadow Moses Island, and encounter characters like Psycho Mantis.
Jamais Vu on the other hand features Raiden as a playable character. The mission involves eliminating body snatchers at Camp Omega.
Both missions are going to go multi-platform sometime next month and will be free to download. Typically western consumers get their turn some time after the Japanese date. However, because of its popularity, it’s possible that Konami will be making sure the DLCs go multi-play globally on the same date or at least in the same time frame.
