XCOM: Enemy Unknown Coming to Android & Amazon Appstore “SOON”

The developer behind XCOM: Enemy Unknown has announced that they will be bringing their popular strategy game to Android and Amazon Appstore, pretty soon. The announcement came via twitter account for XCOM, where they wrote:

The Award Winning XCOM: Enemy Unknown is coming to soon to Google Play and the Amazon Appstore!

The game was first released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in the October of 2012 and last year it was released for the Mac OS X and iOS as well.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown starts sometime in the future, where the aliens have started to invade the earth and now Council of Nations’ created force named as XCOM (Extraterrestrial Combat Unit) has the task of stopping them.

The gameplay of the title will feel quite similar to the veteran players of the series. You are a commander of the elite military organization and you have the responsibility to take your troops into the battle with turn-based combat missions against the technologically superior aliens.

As you progress through the game, you will get the ability to do more research and create new technologies that will help you in the battlefield.

So far no release date has been mentioned for the XCOM: Enemy Unknown, but we will keep you posted as the developer reveals more.
