The EU PlayStation Blog has dropped new details on Tales of Xillia 2: Day 1 Special Edition and the Ludger Kresnik Collector’s Edition.
The Ludger Kresnik Collector’s Edition comes with an artbook, a soundtrack disk, a metal case emblazoned with the mascot cat Rollo, a life-sized Pocket Mirror, a replica of the pocket watch featured in the game and an Ichiban Kuji statue of the game’s protagonist Ludger Kresnik.
The Day 1 Edition of the game on the other hand will include only the soundtrack disk and a Tales of Xilia 2 metal case exclusive to Europe and Australia. The special edition will be available in selected retailers across Europe and Australia on launch.
Tales of Xilia 2 is the sequel to Tales of Xillia, taking place a year after the events from the original title. The game follows Ludgar Will Kresnik, who possesses the power to travel and destroy alternative timelines, and Elle Mel Marta, an 8 year old girl from an alternative timeline. It is when he boards a train that gets hijacked that he meets Elle in the game. The train crashes but both Ludger and Elle survive. They’re both treated for their wounds by Clanspia Inc but are then forced to work for them in order to pay their bills. The company hires Ludger to destroy an alternative timeline because the great spirit Origin can no longer sustain all the dimensions.
Tales of Xillia 2 is out August 22 on PlayStation 3.
