Publisher Wargaming is always expanding its series and this time, it’s World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition that gets a nod with the 1.1 update rolling out. As always, the company is listening to fan feedback to create its next best experience for users.
In the 1.1 update, World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition adds crews to tanks. This is made up of a tank commander and their crew members, which can either be fully trained or just partially.
Crews are a clever way to diversify abilities in something a little less static than just skill trees and such, by personifying their traits. Gaining experience for your members will further build out your personal play style.
Moreover, the update adds a medieval-looking Himmelsdorf map, which is roughly translated as Heaven Town. Still, there’s nothing heavenly left of this picturesque village with towers, churches and castles, as most of it has been blown to bits.
Finally, World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition will receive a set of five British medium tanks. Models are as follows:
- Cromwell – tier VI
- Comet – tier VII
- Centurion I – tier VIII
- Centurion 7/1 – tier IX
- FV4202 – tier X
While World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition follows the same massively multiplayer online (MMO) model of its PC associate, it’s not as free to play as its predecessor. Console players are required to have a paying Xbox Live subscription in order to participate in the otherwise free game.
