RedLynx’s new biking platform Trials Fusion will be requiring a day-one patch on the Xbox One to raise the game’s resolution to 900p. Before that the game will be running at just 800p.
“For the new gen systems, the target is 1920×1080 but we are still optimising for those systems so we have nothing definitive on the resolutions yet,” studio brand manager Jason Bates told Eurogamer.
In contrast, Trials Fusion will run at 1080p with 60fps on the PlayStation 4 from launch, without the need of any patches.
Trials Fusion releases tomorrow on April 15 for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. The PC version will arrive on April 24. The game will be available in both digital and retail versions; with the physical retail copies coming out a couple of days after.
The retail version will also be priced double of that of the digital ones, because it comes with a season pass for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which will give players access to six future DLC packs that will be released until April 2015.
Trials is the third installment in the series, of which the previous was Trials Evolution, released for Xbox Live Arcade in 2012. Fusion is the first game of the series to be available in physical form, and is also the first Trials title to come out for the PlayStation.
