At their PAX East Panel, Respawn Studios announced new modes to be added to Titanfall along with it’s first DLC titled “Expedition.”
Last Titan Standing mode will be getting a 2v2 variant where the players have to take down the rival team’s titans to win the game. Among other tweaks, Respawn also said they’re working on Titan Decals for players to customize their titans as well as Titan-themed burn cards.
A new matchmaking system will be introduced that will let players to use hash tags to filter through private games. Rifts will be added to the game which will add special rules to the current existing modes, adding variation to the gameplay.
Priced at $9.99, Expedition will add 3 new maps; Runoff, Swamplands and Wargames.
In the wake of the Battle of Demeter, IMC Expeditionary Forces travel deep into Frontier space to recover from their recent defeat. On an uncharted world, the IMC begin construction of a new fleet operations base, using newly acquired water collection and filtration plants to support the new base.
When drainage operations reveal ancient ruins and artifacts of an unknown origin in a nearby swamp, Spyglass activates an archaeological team to investigate the site. To maintain battle readiness at the new base, IMC Pilots use simulation pods to train for anticipated Militia raids, based on lessons learned in Angel City and IMC Airbase Sierra.
This is the first of the three DLCs planned for Titanfall players who wish to save some money. Players can also purchase the Titanfall Season pass for $24.99 and get the three DLCs as soon as they’re available. Expedition DLC will be available this May on the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
