Xbox One Getting Auto-Reboot Feature
Microsoft has listed three new features to be added to the Xbox One in upcoming updates, which will be available for testers to preview.
- The Blu-Ray player app will be updated and will be able to support a video output of 50hz.
- The firmware update improve the wireless connectivity of the controller and reduce the static heard in the headset,
- The console will get an auto-reboot feature. When the console is in Instant On mode, it will automatically update and then reboot on its own to apply the patch to the console. Pretty swift.
All of these features will be further improved in the coming days through consumer feedback. Microsoft noted that “some features previewed won’t always make it to launch right away because we want to help ensure the best experience for our fans before pushing a new feature.” Hence, positive feedback is always good.
Expect these features to roll out by next week.
Last week, Microsoft discussed a slew of Smart Glass options for the Xbox One, bringing Mobile Alerts, Snap Functionality and easier navigation to the app, along with the ability to view Xbox Content on any Microsoft Device. Plans for External Storage support on the Xbox One were also announced.
