The Last of Us Enhanced Edition Might be Headed to PS4 in Summer

Recently, during an interview with CNN Turk, Vice President and Market Manager of Playstation Turkey, Sercan Sulun said that Sony’s award-winning exclusive ‘The Last of Us is headed to Playstation 4 in summers, 2014.

Spotted by a NeoGAF user Quirah, during the 36th minute of the interview, the host of the show asked Sulun whether the fans will see a sequel for The Last of Us or not, and in response Sulun replied:

No, sequel is not coming right now as far as I know but I can say that first game will be released this summer for PS4 as a physical and digital copy, with enchanced graphics.

Since the interview was carried out in Turkish, another NeoGAF user ‘Heavy’s Sandvich’ confirmed that the translation (which is provided above) is correct.

A native Turkish speaker has talked to IGN to provide a more thorough translation of the dialogue:

There is no information about a new The Last of Us game but I can share this knowledge; as of this summer, The Last of Us will be on the PS4. Both on PSN and physically. The PS4 version will also include the DLC so you will be able to play ‘Left Behind’ as well.

Naughty Dog has been planning something big for quite a while now, may be this is it. Sony, on the other hand, still has to confirm this.

Given that, Mr. Sulun is an important member of the organization, things like this should not be left unnoticed.

Since Playstation 4 has titles like The Order: 1886, Driveclub, inFamous: Second Son under its belt, it remains to be seen whether fans will go for The Last of Us enhanced edition or not. Would you?
