Crytek’s free-to-play online first person shooter Warface has now entered open beta on the Xbox 360 and is available for free to all Xbox Live Gold subscribers.
In a new post on his blog, Microsoft’s Major Nelson revealed that the open beta will be carrying over three Versus modes from the game’s previous closed beta that feature several maps, plus two initial co-op settings with multiple mission types and difficulties. Nelson also promised new content, settings and modes to keep things interesting.
Developer Crytek has asked players to provide their valuable feedback on the beta. “Warface is built on the player’s feedback,” said the developer and players are encouraged to forward their thoughts to email@example.com. The Warface team will go through each and every mail and aim to “incorporate whatever possible” to make the final product excellent in all regards.
New forums for users will be made available on warfacexbox.com soon.
Warface is powered by CryEngine 3 and is set in the future, featuring next-gen visuals, plenty of robots, mechs and other artificial intelligence and more. The game was released on PC last year in October. A PlayStation 3 version is possible but has not been discussed by Crytek so far.
