Roll7 has affirmed that their popular skateboarding videogame, OlliOlli is headed to Playstation 3 and Playstation 4.
Just recently, the developer also announced that the game will be seeing PC, Mac, and Linux versions in future.
While speaking to fans over Playstation Europe Blog, Roll7’s Simon Bennett confirmed that the studio is currently working on the PS3/PS4 versions and have partnered with a Spanish studio, BlitWorks.
We met with Shahid Ahmad and Spencer Low who help run the Strategic Content team at SCEE, and they recommended that we get the game onto PS4 and PS3. So that’s what we are doing! We have partnered with BlitWorks, based off Barcelona, Spain.
Bennett continued by stating that the studio has already developed the first playable version for Playstation 4 and that it feels amazing.
We already have a first playable version up and running on the PS4 and a big screen, it’s like our little OlliOlli grew up and got some balls! It really feels amazing on the Dualshock 4 too.
Although no solid release date has been provided, Bennett stated that OlliOlli will remain a Playstation Vita exclusive until summer 2014 which suggests that the release date must be around summer, this year.
OlliOlli will remain a PS Vita exclusive until summer 2014.
In related news, Roll7 has also confirmed that they are currently working on a patch that will fix the crash bug that many players were reporting. An update will soon be available on Playstation Vita though, no release date is provided.
