A new report claims that the hardware sales of PlayStation 4 in the UK jumped 106 percent following the launch of InFamous: Second Son.
According to MCV UK’s trusted retail sources, the massive jump in sales easily helped push the title straight to the top spot in the region’s video game charts.
The unofficial numbers are slightly ahead of what the Xbox One saw with the release of Titanfall. In comparison Respawn’s new shooter helped Microsoft’s console with a 96 percent boost in hardware sales.
It’s also worth noting that the PlayStation 4 already saw to a 75 percent in hardware sales last week. The reason was simply that some retailers got a fresh stock of consoles. Sony has been having problems in keeping a continuous stream of supply to its retailer. Hence, when the opportunity presents its self to consumers, they grab on to it instantly. InFamous: Second Son pushing that over 100 percent is probably going to mean more work for Sony.
