Robert Space Industries is turning up the heat on the space ships that Star Citizen is going to offer.
First off, a long list of wonderful renderings have been shared on the official website that detail how the Vanduul Scythe model ship has evolved into being what it is now.
Secondly, a video has detailed couple of new models that are in the making right now.
We have added the renders shared by the devs in a gallery at the end of the article so that you can check it out yourself but as far as the video is concerned. It comes from The Next Great Starship modding competition’s Episode 1.8 where you get a detailed look at multiple ships including a light fighter named Mustang.
The modding competition is giving modders a chance to create a spaceship that will be used in Star Citizen. The video in question describes it as:
The Next Great Starship, the modding competition that gives fans a chance to create a space ship for Chris Roberts’ upcoming epic space sim game, Star Citizen™, is about to get real for 16 teams!
If you didn’t know about it before (I doubt that) you should leave everything and head straight to their website.
The winning teach gets $30,000 in cash, Autodesk Entertainment Creation Suite, Maya Premium and one high-endAMD based system with Radeon R9 290X (for each team member).
How many of you are among the 400,000 users that have crowd funded Star Citizen to allow them to raise a mind-boggling sum of $40 million?
