Far Cry 4 Reveal to Happen at E3 2014; Set in the Himalayas

Recent rumors regarding Far Cry 4 being set in the Himalayas have been confirmed by Eurogamer, according to its various inside sources. The site also stated that the game will release in the first half of 2015 with an official reveal happening at E3 2014 in June.

The fourth installment in the Far Cry series will once again feature an open world adventure but seemingly this time around will take the action to the snowy peaks instead of dense jungles. The game is said to be in development for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will be skipping both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Details are scarce at this time but one interesting new gameplay element will allow players to saddle up and ride elephants. That perhaps hints on more than one way to find transportation.

Far Cry 4 will see to the return of both outposts and hunting from the third installment. I don’t think anyone would mind that. The hunting aspect was pretty entertaining, as well as clearing out outposts. Hopefully the AI this time around will be better.

Lastly, the game being set in the Himalayas does not mean that players will get to enjoy only the cold climate. According to sources there will be multiple environments and weather conditions.
