InFamous: Second Son – Day One Patch Adds New Missions, 5 Hours of Additional Gameplay
Sucker Punch has detailed its plans for post-launch content for Infamous: Second Son, which begins with a day one title update that will introduce a series of new episodic story missions.
The update will grant players an additional 5 hours of gameplay time but the content doesn’t end just there. New content will be released for players each week for six weeks, that will form a new “Paper Trail” storyline where players will discover the full story behind the D.U.P.’s occupation of Seattle.
In total there will be 19 new missions that will form the side-story, which is being described by Sucker Punch as an “innovative online and in-game story arc.”
Weighing in at 300 MB, the update will also include the Cole’s Legacy Content Pack, which is available for free to those who pre-ordered the game. Alongside that will be various tweaks and improvements to the gameplay and visuals.

- Normal difficulty has been slightly increased to challenge the player’s mastery of their powers
- Expert difficulty has been fine-tuned to ensure it is the best experience for skilled gamers
- Karma progression extended to support longer playtime
- The boss fights have been re-tuned for difficulty and fun
- More dynamic boss behaviors and attacks
