The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall has been delayed by two weeks, yet again, and will now release in the UK on April 11, EA has announced.
The game was originally scheduled for a release alongside the Xbox One and PC version but was then delayed to next Friday. A two-week delay now pushes the game into next month.
In a new blog post, EA executive Patrick Soderlund wrote that the Xbox 360 version is perfectly playable but after playing the game continuously, the team saw a “few things” that can be vastly improved.
“I want to update everyone on Titanfall for Xbox 360,” EA exec Patrick Söderlund wrote. “I’ve been playing the game a lot, and it is fantastic. But we see a few things that can be made even better, so we’re giving Bluepoint a little more time to do just that.
“Titanfall for Xbox 360 will now be releasing on April 8 in North America, and beginning on April 11 in Europe. The game will feature the same 6v6 gameplay, maps, modes, weapons and Burn Cards as the Xbox One and PC versions of the game.”
Bluepoint Games is developing the Xbox 360 version. The studio has previously been behind the porting of the God of War Collection, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus collection and the recent PlayStation 4 and Vita versions of Flower.
Titanfall was released last weekend in the UK for the Xbox One and PC. It took less than a week for the game to reach the top spot in the UK video games chart. According to a recent report, Titanfall actually helped in boosting Microsoft’s next-gen console sales by 96 percent. Whether the Xbox 360 release will have an impact on that console as well, will have to be seen.
