The community manager of Respawn Entertainment Abbie Heppe shed some light on what to expect from the upcoming DLC of Titanfall.
In an answer to a question about whether the different monsters in the Titanfall concept will make it to the game. She replied:
We are going to have maps added, and we’re trying to give players as much of a varied look at things as we can so that is definitely a possibility.
These monsters in the book can be seen in some of the maps in the game but they cannot be interacted with in any way. So there is hope that soon these monsters will have something to do in the battlefield.
Bad news for all the players that were expecting a new Titan as DLC. It looks like you will just be playing as Stryder, Ogre and Atlas for quite some time. Abbie answered the question about New Titans:
That’s a real big question In order to [add a Titan] it takes so much balancing to make all the Titan abilities work with each other, and then against pilots.
It’s a huge undertaking. Originally we just had the Atlas titans and then the team refused to add in the rest of the Titans until we were all sure that that one fitted perfectly with everything else in the game, so… I’m not announcing any new Titans right now!
She also said that the studio is working on fixing the PC server issues and studio is confident that the issues will be resolved really soon.
Titanfall may not have been released on PlayStation 4 but there is a strong possibility that the next game in the franchise might make it to the Sony’s console afterall. Abbie said:
Vince, our CEO, has come out and said that while we’re exclusive for this game, it doesn’t limit us regarding console exclusivity for any of the future things we do.
