Finally, Hearthstone is out of Beta – Everyone can Play Now

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft

Blizzard is now confident of Hearthstone and they’re releasing it for general public consumption – setting it loose on the world to be played for free. The game has left beta. Following what was several months of vigorous testing and updates, now the game is playable by anyone who wishes to be part of the World of Warcraft inspired card game.

Blizzard’s CEO Mike Morhaime had this to say on the matter:

“We saw some reports early on that Hearthstone might destroy the planet. We’re pleased to see that the game has been released and the planet is still here . . . though we apologize for all the lost productivity.”

Hearthstone is now free to play on the PC and the Mac, with iPad support being an idea that will become a reality in the near future. There were also rumors at the BlizzCon of the game possibly being available on Android devices too, leaving no gaming platform untouched.

Hearthstone is a collectible card game (CCG) which features 1v1 online battles between two opponents. It operates through Battle.net. There are a variety of different game modes available, each of which provides a custom, tailored experience, made so to satiate every player’s liking.

The turn-based card game starts you off with a basic deck, but more cards can be unlocked, either through purchase (using real money, or in-game acquirable gold), or through competition in the Arena.

So, Sheathe your sword, draw your deck, and get ready for Hearthstone – the fast paced strategy card game that’s easy to learn and massively fun.
