Hitman: Absolution Elite Edition Releasing for Mac in Spring

Hitman: Absolution – Elite Edition is going to be released on Mac this spring, publisher Feral Interactive announced today.

The Elite Edition will contain all previously released DLC for the title, including the pre-order exclusive Hitman: Sniper Challenge. This is going to be the first time that the contract killer Agent 47 has found himself on the Mac platform.

More information on the Mac version will be made available closer to the release date.

Hitman: Absolution was released for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC back in November of 2012. The game received pretty average reviews, even though visually it was a stunning feat.

Square Enix Montreal will now released Hitman Go, a mobile strategy game, in the coming months. The studio was said to be working on another Hitman game until January this year when it was rumored that the project has been scrapped in sight of the unimpressive sales of the first. Publisher Square Enix did not comment on the rumors but did confirm that a previously announced “AAA Hitman game” is still in development at its home studio of IO Interactive.
