Earlier today Ubisoft announced that its much anticipated open world action adventure game Watch Dogs will officially release on May 27 across all platforms.
The revelation came through a new trailer posted on the PlayStation EU Blog by Mike Madavi, Content Marketing Manager at Ubisoft. The post also mentioned that Sony would be pushing out Watch Dogs bundles for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in Europe. Each bundle will come in a Watch Dogs branded box that will include the console and the game itself. The pricing was however not divulged by neither Sony nor Ubisoft. It’s unsure at the moment whether the bundles will be available in North America as well.
These bundles were originally expected to be launched back in November when Watch Dogs was supposed to launch. The developer delayed the title at the last minute, stating it needed more polish and that the extra time would allow them to add even more features.
In case you didn’t know the PlayStation versions of Watch Dogs include 60 minutes of exclusive gameplay.
Watch Dogs is in development for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC and Wii U. A release date for the Wii U is still pending and it could be that the rumors were true and the Nintendo version has been scrapped by Ubisoft.
