Drinkbox Software’s action platformer seems to be adding new platforms to its list every day. The game was originally released to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, then got ported to Windows, Linux and Mac OS and now it is rounding up the all the other key platforms i.e. PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U and Xbox 360.
Although Guacamelee! has been in the market since April last year, it was brought up in the news in last December when IGN reported that the game had been confirmed for the next-gen. The post was later removed and Drinkbox refused to comment.
Now, IGN again has reported that the game will make its way to the said consoles under the name Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition. However, this time they have an announcement trailer to go with it.
This version of the game is supposed to bundle all previous content of the game together and add to the original story. There will be new levels, new boss battles, additional abilities and more.
If you don’t know much about the game, it is based around Mexican lore and culture and tells the story of one Juan who fights against Carlos Calaca who has kidnapped his love, the El Presidente’s daughter.
Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition’s announcement trailer only gives a couple of glimpses but it is worth checking out!
