A new trailer released by CI Games for their upcoming World War II first-person shooter Enemy Front takes us back to the Warsaw Uprising of 1944.

In 1994, during World War II, around 200,000 Polish citizens were massacred during two months of battle against the Nazi regime. The Warsaw Uprising is marked as one of the most bloodiest events of that time. Most of whom were caught in the city were mass executed, as depicted in the trailer. Following the Nazi invasion in 1939, a resistance was formed in 1943 but at the end of it all, most of the city was left in ruins. The Germans finally withdrew from Poland in 1945, leaving behind a smoldering city that would be remembered in the pages of history.

The trailer reminds us of how the area is going to be one of the main battlegrounds in Enemy Front. Players will take on the role of an American war correspondent who becomes embroiled in the fighting. Different missions in the game will take players across France, Germany, Norway, and Poland.

Enemy Front is powered by CryEngine 3 and will release for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC this summer.
