Evidence keeps on piling up for Dishonored 2: Darkness of Tyvia. The latest coming in the form of an off-screen photo of a slide from a secretive presentation.
According to the image, the second installment in the Dishonored franchise will be officially revealed at E3 this year. The game is being developed by Arkane Studios and is being powered by id Tech 5. A 2016 release date is also mentioned in the slide, which is kind of a downer because I personally would had loved to see it release by early 2015 the latest .
Dishonored 2: Darkness of Tyvia will put players in the shoes of a new character who must “annihilate the outsider” in the new location of Tyvia. The game will feature new powers and updated abilities of the ones included in the first.
Even more interestingly, the slide mentions a DOOM beta access which can be attained by pre-ordering the game. The same pre-order incentive was previously announced for Wolfenstein: The New Order as well.
The fact sheet was sent to VG247 by an anonymous source and its legitimacy is questionable. Bethesda Softworks has been contacted to confirm the news but a representative has yet to make an official statement. Don’t be surprised if the only response is that they don’t comment on rumors.
Dishonored 2: Darkness of Tyvia is allegedly in development for the PlayStation, Xbox and PC. The slide doesn’t mentions as to which generation of consoles it’s being worked on.
