Goat Simulator is Releasing on April Fools’ Day
When is the perfect time to release a game described by its creators as the “world’s dumbest game?” Why on April Fools day of course.
Coffee Stain Studios has today announced that its Goat Simulator will be releasing for the PC on April 1. The title takes inspiration from classic skating games but the difference is that players will be controlling a goat here.
Likewise instead of performing skating tricks, players will be wrecking stuff. “Charging into a table and knocking it over yields points, and if you can manage to do it while doing a backflip first and a 360 afterwards, you’ll score even more points,” said the developer.
Upon launch Goat Simulator will have Steam Workshop support, meaning that enthusiast modders can make their own missions, levels and goats.
You can pre-order it now for $10. The game has no multiplayer and is in development for PC only, not Mac or Linux. Attendees at GDC San Francisco between March 17 – 21 will be able to try out the game’s first playable version.
