The Onslaught DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts was released yesterday across the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC. The featured multiplayer maps, including one for extinction, and the new Maverick weapon are all being put to good use; as far as those who have bought the DLC are concerned.
However there might be an offer coming soon from Activision that will allow users to try out the DLC for free for a limited period, to determine whether it’s worthy of their hard earned cash or not. The rumor comes in the form a leaked document on Pastebin that suggests the free trials to start from March 21.
Interestingly Onslaught isn’t the only trial mentioned in the Pastebin document. According to the file, a Call of Duty: Ghosts demo is coming out on March 7 that will allow players to play the multiplayer portion only.
A total of three maps will be accessible and players can choose between Team Deathmatch and Domination modes. The demo will also include the Extinction mode, that has players defending the earth from aliens instead of zombies.
Finally, the digital version of Call of Duty: Ghosts will be put on sale while the trial lasts. So players can try out the game and its DLC and then opt for a discounted purchase.
Activision has yet to officially confirm any of the following rumors. Seeing that March 7 is just around the corner, it’s possible we’ll hear an announcement in the coming days.
