The publisher Deep Silver has been referring to the game as a ‘ZOMBA’ instead of a MOBA, because they say that it is a Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena game. Here’s how they have described Dead Island Epidemic on the game’s website:
Dead Island Epidemic is a fast-paced action game where players will duke it out over supply points, using an arsenal of crafted weaponry, a bevy of devastating powers, and good old-fashioned teamwork. What makes Epidemic different from other MOBAs? Well, it’s a ZOMBA!
The official website doesn’t really give away details on characters, weapons, game modes or any of that stuff but promises to enlighten us soon. So far all we know about the game is that it is MOBA where three teams of four fight against zombies and win over the supplies.
