MXGP Announces PS Vita Version With Gameplay Trailer

By   /   Feb 27, 2014

Publisher PQube announced that MXGP – The Official Motocross Videogame will also make an appearance on Playstation Vita. Previously, the racing game with the overly long subtitle was already headed to Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

While the handheld version of the game will have a redesigned career mode, it will retain all the contents from the original console builds. In the gameplay trailer attached to the story, it’s noted that the MX1 and MX2 championships will be present in this iteration.

Furthermore, all the riders and teams from the MXGP 2013 calendar will make their appearance on the Vita as well. It even has the previously announced Monster Girls doing their thing.

Alessandro Castrucci of developer Milestone also mentioned that the handheld version is its own thing, instead of a port. In the release, Castrucci states:

The PS Vita version of the game has been developed simultaneously with the PS3 one, although it isn’t a porting of the home console. This approach allowed us to include all the contents such as lighting effects, physics and the styling of MXGP as well as the ability to play with a dual stick controller which allows the rider and the bike to be managed separately.

In the gameplay clip, we also get to witness some of the action. For instance, it will be possible to view the race from a first person perspective.

MXGP – The Official Motocross Videogame will be out on March 28, 2014.
