After the announcement of ROG DreamLeague Season #1 having a Compendium and a fantasy league yesterday, Dota 2’s official blog followed up with more details.
Players who have activated the ROG Dreamleague Compendium is eligible to join the fantasy challenge. If you own a compendium, you can not only create one fantasy league that contains six members but also join as many leagues as you can.
Dota fantasy challenge was introduced before, but this time it has been revamped. The more notable change is the shift from the open competition to small leagues, the live draft and the makeover on the scoring system.
The league compendium can be purchased at the Dota 2 Store for $9.99 – out of which 25% of the sales will be added to the prize-pool.
Fantasy Dota is similar to what you are used in sports Fantasy leagues. You choose your favorite players and their performances in actual matches decide how many points you will earn at the end of the round of matches.
Considering the format of this fantasy league, expect less of rewards and prizes but more fun!
