Atlus gave away plenty of announcements for its Persona franchise today; the crux of which was that four Persona titles are heading to the west.
Persona 5, the first Persona RPG title being developed for the PlayStation 3, will release in North America sometime in 2015. No additional information was provided for the new title except for a tease by the series director Katsura Hashino who said that the game’s storyline would involve “throwing off the chains of oppression to find one’s truth self.”
Secondly, the developer revealed that the sequel to Persona 4 Arena called Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will launch this year in fall for the PlayStation 3. The game features a new story mode that continues the plot of the original game, adds new fighting modes, and also includes Persona 4 characters like Junpei lori and Yukari Takeba.
The rhythm action game Persona 4: Dancing All Night will launch in North America for the PlayStation Vita sometime in 2015. The game features 30 tracks/remixes and has been developed in collaboration with Dingo, the team behind Hatsune Miku: Project Diva.
Finally, Atlus announced today that 3DS game Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth is also coming to North America this fall. Details of which will be given later.
