South Park games have been known to run along the lines of censorship. South Park: The Stick of Truth has proven to be no different and territories like Europe, Middle East and Africa will get the game’s censored version.
There are multiple areas that have brought the attention of the authorities to the game. There is a mini game that shows a doctor performing an abortion on the player, and then there is another mini game that shows the player performing an abortion on a character in the game called Randy. Too many abortions!
Moving on, there are at least five scenes where a person is being consecutively probed anally. In total there are at least seven scenes in the game that have now been censored.
When the scenes get censored, all the scenes will play as normal and the censored part will be replaced by an image background and a description text.
This could simply be a reaction from the market or a step taken cautiously by Ubisoft itself in a wish to make the game release worthy in certain other territories like Germany where the guidelines are more strict.
South Park: The Stick of Truth has been given a PEGI 18 rating; the authority is not behind censoring material rather it only rates them according to the content that they are given.
Do you think South Park: The Stick of Truth should not have been censored?
