Nintendo is keeping itself busy with updates on 3DS and Wii U. Just like the previous one, the latest Nintendo Wii U system update 4.0.3 also focuses mainly on system stability improvements and certain other adjustments.
Official Nintendo website gives a one lined patch description that says “further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user’s experience.”
Wii U System Update 4.0.3 is a pretty small patch so naturally there won’t be a long list of patch notes.
The instructions for setting up the update on your console are simple, and it is a comparatively small update so it won’t really take more than a couple of minutes.
The only thing you will need to worry about is your internet connection:
Performing a system update may take an extended amount of time (for some users it could take an hour or more to download and install). Do not power off your console or remove the Wii U AC adapter during this time.
We know how Nintendo has been stern on anti-piracy and hacking.
Only recently it was revealed that a group of hackers had found a way into Wii U homebrewing. Could the Wii U system update 4.0.3 have something to do with that?
