New Mortal Kombat Hinted by 24’s Kiefer Sutherland

By   /   Feb 24, 2014

Kiefer Sutherland is well known for his role as Jack Bauer in the incredibly popular series “24.”

Fans of the video games are eagerly waiting to hear the actor’s take on Snake in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Sutherland has some pretty big shoes to fill, as he attempts to follow up fan-favorite voice actor David Hayter’s run with the character.

Despite his busy schedule, the actor apparently found time to squeeze in another exciting video game acting gig. This time, he has offered his vocal talents to an upcoming installment in the iconic Mortal Kombat fighting game series.

In an interview with IGN, Sutherland discussed the amount of time he has dedicated to Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain and casually mentioned his work on a Mortal Kombat game as a comparison.

I did Mortal Kombat, and that’s such a huge game, but it’s so not like MGS5.

Although, the actor did not confirm what role he was playing in the game but he did explain that he wrapped up his participation in the title pretty quickly compared to MGS5.

There is not a lot of information available about the next Mortal Kombat, it is also unsure that whether he was talking about the game or maybe Mortal Kombat film. We can just speculate until there is something officially announced by the studio.

After 2011′s Mortal Kombat and last year’s Injustice: Gods Among Us, we are very eager to see what NetherRealm has in store for the future of the Mortal Kombat franchise.
