Uncharted 4 For PS4 is in Development for Last Three Years

The president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida mentioned that the next chapter in the Uncharted series that is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 has been in development for the last three years.

He made these comments during an interview with Inside Games, while discussing impressive visual performance of the console:

After the release of the PS4, the time in which developers are getting accustomed to the hardware is coming. After three years Naughty Dog’s work has finally become exciting, isn’t it?

Yoshida clearly doesn’t mention anything regarding Uncharted, although it seems very likely that he is referring to the next adventure of Nathan Drake.

Moreover, the executive spoke on how the likes of The Last of Us and Uncharted have managed to realistically convey emotions similar to those in films, minus some subtle differences.

He said Quantic Dream’s The Dark Sorcerer tech demo goes one step further, making it hard to discern whether it is live action or digital.

Naughty Dogs has not revealed any information regarding their next game, just the teaser trailer of the game was shown.
