Virtual Reality is looking to be the next niche that every company wants to explore. Valve already was revealed last year to be working on their own device; which was followed by reports of Sony doing the same.
While Sony’s Virtual Reality Gaming Headset for the PlayStation 4 is definitely in the pipeline, the company has kept radio silence on its development. According to an inside source of TechRadar, Sony has decided to postpone an official unveiling of the device several times. The source didn’t mention as to why.
TechRadar further reports that its sources have spent time with the headset behind closed doors and the device is finally ready to be revealed to the public.
“The quality and resolution are really, really good,” praised the source. “People will definitely be impressed with what Sony’s built.”
The source claims that Sony will announce the headset at GDC 2014 which commences in San Francisco on March 17. It’s possible that Sony might follow up the reveal with announcements of other Virtual Reality ready games at E3 2014 in June.
