AMD today announced the AMD Rewards program which will entitle gamers to win over $5 million in gaming merchandise through the use of Raptr.
The program is based on points that you’ll earn through the use of Raptr. These can then be redeemed for a number of items. A complete list of the rewards has not been given but AMD did mention that the prizes would include redeemable free games, ASTRO gaming headsets, GameFly subscriptions, GUNNAR gaming eye wear, discounts on various gaming items, Sapphire Radeon R9 series graphics cards and more.
“We see AMD Rewards as a natural extension of what Raptr Rewards does for gamers,” Dennis Fong, Raptr’s CEO, explained. “It’s really great to be able to reward players for all the time and effort they’ve invested in playing games.”
AMD hasn’t mentioned clearly as to what activities on Raptr would earn you points. The accompanying press release today only states that using the GEA game optimization service and playing supported games will earn you points. There may be other ways as well but they remain unknown right now.
