Even though Tales from the Borderlands was announced by Telltale Games back in December of last year, we’ve yet to know anything about the title. That will change next month on March 8th, when both Telltale Games and Gearbox Software attend SXSW to dish out the first bit of details of the game.
The panel will include Telltale co-founder Kevin Bruner and Tales from the Borderlands lead designer Harrison Pink, along with Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford, Borderlands 2 writer Anthony Burch, and franchise director Matthew Armstrong. The session will be hosted by comedian Kumail Nanjiani and producer/writer Emily V. Gordon.
Titled “Two Sides to Every Story,” the panel will focus on how and why the studios came together to work on this new episodic adventure series. While the event invitation didn’t mention it, it’s possible that attendees will be treated to a few glimpses of gameplay.
Borderlands 2 was an epic experience. Telltale have their own knack of telling stories in great fashion. It’s going to be really interesting to see how both studios bond to bring the best of both worlds.
