Short Peace Details A Farewell To Arms
Publisher Namco Bandai has announced a few more details for Short Peace: Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day. This ambitious project will blend together four animated movies and an additional game to go along with them.
Its first movie, called A Farewell To Weapons, will be directed by Hajime Katoki. He’s mostly known for his work as a designer in the Gundam mech series.
In the movie set in Tokyo, five soldiers will face one unmanned tank in the rubbles of the future. As the battle progresses, they’ll find that their escape routes get blocked off one by one.
Along with the animated shorts, Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day will serve as a Playstation 3 exclusive. It’s under production by Suda 51, whose work includes Killer 7, Killer Is Dead and Lollipop Chainsaw.
In Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day, the story follows a little schoolgirl with a dark side. At night, she transforms into a vicious assassin that takes out her targets with a violin sniper rifle.
This dynamic changes when a demonic organization gives chase to the girl. She’ll need to escape their clutches to rescue her friends.
This title will take the anime style to present a fast-paced side-scrolling game. A character will need to outrun giant beasts approaching from the left, while also dodging tons of projectiles.
Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day will release in European and American regions, somewhere in 2014.
