Hideo Kojima is still working on the Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes comparison video but the developer has shared a couple of comparison screens that in themselves are quite insightful. It has been confirmed that the game will run on 720p on Xbox One as compared to PlayStation 4’s 1080p.
The Konami website has shared the current generation and next generation comparison screens along with the resolution and frame-rate details for all the platforms that the game has been confirmed on.
Only PlayStation 4 will run Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes on 1080p and 60fps; this comes in line with the praises that the console received from Kojima recently. Xbox One will only manage to pull off 720p with 60fps. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will both run the game on 30fps with 720p (scaling internally).
Coming to the screens that have been shared by the Konami Blog, you will see a noticeable difference in different platforms and it just might be the wisest decision to stick to what the developer says, i.e. play the game on the platform that runs it best.
Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes is slated for a release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360 on March 18 in North America while in Europe and Japan, it will be released on March 20.
