Devil May Cry trademark has been filed by Capcom just yesterday according to the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market website.
As you can in the image below, Capcom registered a trademark for Devil May Cry on 2/14/2014:
This new trademark filing could mean quite a few things. Capcom may be developing a new entry of the franchise or may be thinking about re-releasing some of the previous entries in the series.
With so many games receiving a next-gen port, it wouldn’t be strange to see DMC – Devil May Cry ported on PS4 and Xbox One with a variety of enhancement.
DMC is the latest entry in the series. The game, released last year on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, is a reboot of the whole franchise, starring a new Dante.
Despite being somewhat different from the rest of the series, DMC is still an enjoyable action game for both fans of the series and newcomers.
Anyway, there is no information available at the moment. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
