Google Play Lets 13 Year Olds Buy Hardcore Porn

How do you feel about books that involve pornography, rape, incest and everything on those lines being available to children? Well, Google Play is offering adult books alongside children comics and storybooks right now.

There are hundreds of titles among the adult books that offer free samples, and there are similar books that have hundreds of pornographic images in them that can now be accessed by anyone from anywhere.

Google Play’s problem is that it doesn’t require age verification as a medium of parental restrictions on content that is not suitable for underage users. The only check it has in place is for the user to declare that they are over 13 year old in order to use Google Play.

The matter has been causing rage among parents who have recently become aware of the problem but instead of working a way out for the people concerned, Google has told them that there is nothing that they can do about it.

Mr Barclay, MP for North East Cambridgeshire, said: “I am very concerned to discover this loophole in parental controls. My constituents want to do the right thing by taking responsibility for the way children use the internet. It is worrying that Google has simply brushed off this gap in their controls.”

You will understand the seriousness if you go to the Google Play books section and type in the word Daddy; it will give you more than 20 incest-based novels. This is just a few of the hundreds of similar books that the store is offering.

Google’s argument against this is that a 13 year old child can walk into a store and buy any book that he/she wants. Do you think this is a justifiable stance?
