Deep Down Features only Male Characters and Fixed Difficulty

Capcom Online Games’ free to play RPG, Deep Down received a PS4 Lab livestream on Nico Nico where quite a few details were revealed. Sadly, the information didn’t contain word on the release date but perhaps the biggest reveal was that the game will not feature any female characters.

The reason for a male only cast was not explained but we have been told that it has something to do with the story of the game. Hopefully the game’s narrative will shed light on the matter.

When Deep Down was showcased at the Tokyo Game Show, the demo included an option to change the difficulty settings but the final product will not give you that luxury. The game will have a fixed difficulty although the developer will be able to change the difficulty through the servers.

It was also revealed through the livestream that there will only be four weapon types when the game launches. Three of the weapon types namely sword and shield, spear and greatsword have been known. The main reason behind this is that each weapon carries a different gameplay style. More types of weapons will be added through updates.

Other than this, there will be a story mode that will be divided into several chapters and players will be able to enjoy remote play with PS Vita.

Deep Down is still to get a release date, though it is expected that the game will be released sometime later this year.
